Learning about communication

Last week Olivia, who is a speech pathologist visited our class and we learned about different ways of communicating without speaking. Our classmate Lachie uses a special book called a Podd book, and also a tablet computer, combined with head movements to communicate. We practiced using a similar book and working with a partner to make up a message without actually speaking. We also played hangman and got to use the tablet as well. We are looking forward to having more conversations with Lachie!
