Maryanne Gustus

As we come to the end of our first uninterrupted school term in two years, we have so much to be grateful for.  We have all had to put intentional energy into once again being a close and cohesive community, an aspect of our existence that has suffered over these Covid times.

This term we have all worked hard in a myriad of ways and I can feel that precious Monivae spirit returning amongst our staff and students.

Gratitude is a feeling we are concentrating on here in our beloved Library as we look forward to a much anticipated holiday. Our Gratitude wall inside the library has been filled with beautiful sentiments these past weeks.

Speaking of Gratitude, we have two Year 12 students that I would like to gratefully recognize for the example they show to others in our School Community.

Is it because they hail from Edenhope? Is it because they both have glorious red hair? Is it because they have grown up living and loving the country life? Whatever the reason, these two students, and their close friends, consistently exhibit a myriad of positive attributes.  I feel they are all a wonderful example to others.

Today Joe Cooper celebrates his 18th Birthday and to mark the occasion an "oh so chocolatey" homemade cake was consumed with much gusto in the Library at recess.

It was a very green and happy St. Patrick’s Day in the Library.

We give heartfelt thanks for a wonderful Term one at Monivae College.  Go gently everyone and may the coming holiday fill you with love, gratitude, empathy and peace.
