Welcome

In our fourth edition of MY FUTURE Careers News, we reflect on the inaugural Careers Fest held last week. We had well over 100 students give up their lunchtime to learn and be inspired by guest speakers and career activities. I am excited to see the enthusiasm that students brought to the events and I hope to continue to provide further Careers Events throughout the year.

What a week of great opportunities for our students. The week started with a presentation outlining the range of learning opportunities in Careers Education at CLC from Years 9 to 12. We had CLC Alumnae, Amanda Booth and Lara Fraumano present on Tuesday with a Women in Business session. Wednesday saw Elise Joosten from Latrobe University present on course options as well as Early Entry opportunities for our students in Year 12. Thursday was the presentation by Alumnae Lisa Cook and Rachel Peiris who were passionate advocates for a science pathway. Friday was our creative day where students were able to dream about possibilities by creating a Careers Vision Board.
