Twilight Sports Report

Dear Parents

Let me start by saying a huge thank-you to everybody who came along and made the Twilight Sports such a great night! I know I said that in the last report but I wanted to say it again!

Last Friday we held the perpetual trophy presentation and awarded everybody with a ribbon for the place their house finished in the overall standings. I have included all the details of the various trophies awarded below. Now after having the trophies on display in the senior school for a couple of weeks I have to head to the engravers over the holidays to get them updated and back into the trophy cabinet.

The big news is that Gold house broke a 15 year long drought and won the title for the first time since 2006! So congratulations to all members of the Gold House team and their families. In unprecedented scenes Gold House won seven of the eight field events. I have launched an investigation into how this is possible and one main factor seemed to contribute. The almost fanatical participation of the Gold House Parents, who for too long have had to come with a slight sense of disappointment! At this stage I must also congratulate Eden Barber as the Gold House Leader. You have been in charge and inspired your team to this victory that Gold house have been so desperate to get since before you were born! This was your year, so celebrate well, and Green, Red and Blue, train hard over the year and we can all try and get the title of gold next year.

I also say a huge thanks again to Catholic Ladies College for allowing us to use their fantastic venue!

Again a big thanks also to all the House captains and year 6’s who got so heavily involved leading the Junior and Senior teams. You have set a very high bar for future house leaders in getting your teams motivated. Also thanks to all staff, your assistance behind the scenes helped make the night memorable for all!
