Indonesian Day 2019

Selamat Pagi!
On Wednesday 14th August our SJV community celebrated the Indonesian Day! The day was filled with fantastic activities which highlighted the Indonesian culture and language learning. Congratulations to our students, the school staff and parents for participating in this event. Enjoy the highlights of the day.
Indonesian Morning Tea
Our Grade Six leaders served Indonesian morning tea for our parents and teachers. A range of Indonesian popular foods and beverages were offered during the morning tea. The parents and teachers also enjoyed the Indonesian quiz prepared by our leaders.
Traditional Dances and Costumes
We were fortunate to have Baguskan a leading Indonesian incursion provider to help us in organising the cultural workshops and performance. We were engaged in learning a variety of Indonesian cultural dances. We enthusiastically participated in the Indonesian day performance by wearing a wide range of Indonesian costumes.
Indonesian Traditional Instrument
Our Grade Five and Six students had the opportunity to learn the Indonesian traditional instrument.
Indonesian Day Performance
We all had a memorable day celebrating the SJV Indonesian Day. It was amazing to see how our students collaborated together in symphony to deliver the Indonesian day performance. They dressed up in various Indonesian costumes, delivered the dances, and demonstrated their skill in playing the Indonesian instruments. Well done to our students who performed as the lead characters. We all enjoyed your captivating and engaging performance.
