Science and Technology

Last Wednesday 11th December several staff members were fortunate to attended a professional development course on the new Science and Technology syllabus.  The day was facilitated by Tanya Coli who is an Inspector for NESA (New South Wales Education Standards Authority).  Teachers learnt how the implementation of the new syllabus gives students opportunities to:

* explore scientific and technological concepts

* gain knowledge and understanding of the world

* develop skills in conducting scientific investigations, designing and producing solutions.

Many thanks to St Edward's Primary School for hosting the day.

Please see video below for a brief overview of the new Science and Technology syllabus.

Merry Christmas

Thank you to all members of the school community for making my first year at St Joseph's such a rewarding one.  I have enjoyed my time here and am looking forward to all that next year will bring; it will be an exciting time when the students move into their amazing new learning spaces!  A huge thanks to Greg O'Toole for supporting me this year in my role as Co-Assistant  Principal.  I wish him all the very best for the 2020 school year at St Edward's.

Best wishes to you all for a wonderful Christmas and happy new year!  I leave you with Vickie's Christmas wish (written by Vickie Pham - Year 1).
