Time to remove 2022 Canstar Blue award logos

We are incredibly proud of our outstanding achievements in the 2022's Canstar Blue awards and want to extend our sincere appreciation for your hard work and dedication that made this possible. While we did not win this year, we are pleased to have tied for second-place.

However, with the 2022 year now over, we are no longer able to use the trademarked Canstar Blue imagery. Please remove references and images from any marketing material, such as:

  • websites
  • social media
  • shopfronts and signage
  • listing collateral and printed material

There are potential penalties for businesses continuing to use the Canstar Blue trademarked award beyond the year in which it was awarded and so you must action the changes as soon as possible.

CCCFA changes

Changes to the Credit Contracts and Consumer Finance Act (CCCFA) and the Responsible Lending Code have come into effect this month, after the regulations locked many first-home buyers or those looking to take on a mortgage, out of the market in 2022.

The changes include:

  • narrowing the expenses considered by lenders to exclude discretionary expenses more explicitly
  • providing more flexibility for lenders about how certain repayments may be calculated
  • extending exceptions from full income and expense assessments for refinancing of existing credit contracts.

Read more about the changes here. You may want to share this news to your audience who may contain potential first home buyers or those who were locked out previously that are unaware.
