From the P&F President
What a busy Term 2! Thank you to all of you who have helped and supported our events. You’ve helped us get a little bit closer to being able to purchase a new PA system for the school. The disco seemed to be popular this term. We look forward to holding another in term 4, stay tuned for the date. The disco made us about $550.
A huge thank you to all those parents who put their hands up to help at the canteen at the athletics carnival and to those who baked some delicious cakes and biscuits for us to sell. We had a large number of people help and for that I am really grateful. Yet to do all the final numbers for the athletics carnival but besides the money we made I think we helped to build the school/community spirit. Well done all! A huge thanks to Christine Fittler, she does a lot to get ready for this event organising all the goodies and prices, setting up organising helpers.
Please SAVE THE DATE! Trivia night has been moved to the 12 August, tables of 8. Let me know if you can’t get a table and we will find one for you. Last year was a lot of fun. See the flyer in the school foyer and in the newsletter for more information.
Next term we will also have a Pie and lamington drive. A notice will come out shortly to instruct how you can order these yummy goods and raise money for the school as well.
Also starting next term we are thinking Fete!!! Date still to be set but if you are keen in helping out let us know and come to the next meeting.
We trialed a new timeslot of 7pm but have all voted last meeting to change it back to 5.30pm so please come along to our next meeting on the 9th August in the staff room.
Lastly, we are having a small mid-year celebration! Last day of term Friday the 30th June. Bring the whole family along for a lunch time sausage sizzle and a FREE Zooper Dooper for every child (please see compass for an RSVP google form). Sausage sandwiich will be $2 each (1 piece of bread) and Koftas will be $4 each served with a sweet chilli yoghurt sauce. Look forward to see you all then.
