Look what has been happening in Year 1!

Year 1 has been learning about Amazing Animals for our Term 2 Inquiry Unit. We have also been learning about God’s wonderful gift of creation. The students wrote prayers of praise for the gift of their favourite animals.

In Year 1 Maths, we have been making patterns with numbers, letters, shapes, objects and colours. We have been challenging ourselves by predicting and continuing patterns others have made.

Students in Year 1 have been spending ten minutes a day taking part in the Cricket Mascot Challenge. The Mascot Challenge provides fun activities and games based around developing fundamental movement skills for students to enjoy. They have been learning new skills in catching, throwing and bouncing. So much fun!
