We are learning to explore different angles.

VOCABULARY

Arm: The two lines that meet to make an angle.

Vertex: The point where the arms meet.

Right angle: When two straight lines meet each other at 90˚ (perpendicular) at the intersection, they form the right angle. A right angle is represented by the symbol ∟.

ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

Have your child look around the house and find as many right angles as they can.

They can make a sketch of all the items they find. 

Have them use a different colour to mark the right angles on their sketch.
