Japanese

We have been busy the last few weeks with the Sorry Day and followed by reconciliation week, and finishing off Yokai unit. We have been learning colours and body parts in Japanese class this term. 

In the reconciliation week, Foundation to Grades 1 / 2 designed boomerangs and kangaroos using Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art symbols. From Grades 3 to 6, we visited the virtual exhibition for the River of Language and we compared animals in Japanese and aboriginal languages. Students made some stories by using aboriginal art symbols. It is displayed on the wall outside the grades 1 & 2. Please go and have a look if you have a chance.
