Inquiry
In our Sustainability unit, we have been learning about lifecycles, ecosystems and rainforests. This week we had a visitor, Clare for ECOSS who played a sustainability game with us. Students pretended to be tall mountain ash trees, pobblebonks, greater gliders and a variety of other creatures from the rainforest. We saw how all the creatures depended on each other, and when one 'disappeared' many other creatures were affected.
Maths -Fractions with Fairy Bread
In maths, we cut out fairy bread into different fractions and then counted by those fractions.
When learning about symmetry, we found symmetry in our environment and created symmetrical pictures and patterns.
Check out Seesaw to see the prisms and pyramids we created and described.
