News from STEAM

This semester in Art, students looked at Australian Indigenous artworks. They discussed and interpreted the storytelling behind artwork from our area. Students were then challenged to create their own indigenous-inspired artwork, empowered by their own stories. All the Artworks shown have a story about the student’s life using symbols. Birrarung (Yarra River) features in many of the student’s artwork, as a symbol of where they live. 

Tha artwork is on display in the hallway outside the 1/2 classroom.
