Green Team Report

On Friday 27th March our school had a massive clean-up day as part of the national ‘Clean Up Australia Day’ program. Buckets and old carrier bags were used to collect the rubbish that littered our school. The grades 5 and 6 students even went to the wetlands and collected any rubbish that was polluting that area.

Unfortunately, when we checked the rubbish we had collected, it was mainly food wrappers from our own lunches! We all know how dangerous this can be for our local wildlife and how it eventually gets into our water systems and bays causing problems. L

Remember…Nude Food every day, and if it must have a wrapper, take it home!

Thank you to all the students who helped to ensure our school grounds were clean and tidy. Let’s keep it this way. J
