International Women's Day
On Tuesday March 8, seven female staff members from Lilydale High School, along with teachers from other Victorian schools, attended a dinner for International Women¹s Day at the Australian Education Union (AEU) building in Abbotsford.
Apart from the food being delicious and enjoying good company on such an important day, we were addressed by Emma Fulu from The Equality Institute who educated us on the research she has taken part in regarding violence against women.
It was a very inspiring and uplifting event that demonstrated so many people¹s commitment to #pledgeforparity, which is the theme for International Women¹s Day this year.

School Uniform
We ask that families support the school by ensuring that their sons/daughters attend in full school uniform every day.
If students have an item out of uniform, they must present a note and obtain an out of uniform pass from the Sub School Offices. Students must endeavour to wear something as close as possible to replace the item.
Co-ordinators and Home Group Teachers deal with this matter. Parents will be contacted if students are regularly out of uniform.
White plain socks not black (no logos, stripes etc) are to be worn with BLACK polishable hard leather low-heeled school shoes. No logos, sneakers styles, brands, stripes etc are allowed.
Attendance
Regular attendance is valued at Lilydale High School. Students who attend regularly give themselves the best opportunity to achieve academically by engaging fully in their learning and foster and maintain friendships.
I ask all parents/guardians to encourage regular attendance for your child/children to ensure every chance for success.
