JUNIOR SCHOOL

YEAR 7 TERM 1

It’s hard to believe that another fortnight has passed and our Year 7 students are further into their first term.

By now, students should be comfortable with checking Compass for their 'Daily Schedule' and ensuring that they are heading to the right room with the correct resources. Our cohort have done a fantastic job of transitioning themselves and the Junior School is a buzz with the excitement of students grasping new routines and making new friends.

Now that our daily routine is a little more established, it would be great to see students looking to involve themselves in one of the many school programs available. Students are encouraged to check the 'News feed' on Compass for details about any upcoming sporting or musical events, as well as meetings about the Reptile Room and the upcoming School Production. Being involved in a number of these activities is a fantastic way of getting to know other students and feeling a part of the whole school culture.

Parents and Guardians wishing to attend the morning are asked to return the slip sent home with their child earlier this week.

YEAR 7 CAMP

With time passing so quickly, our Year 7 Camp now seems to be looming! Please ensure that you have downloaded a camp notice from the school website and returned all the necessary forms so that planning for the three camps can begin.

The camps are always popular with both students and teachers as there are an abundance of great activities and it can be a great opportunity to see peers and teachers in a more relaxed setting.

SWIMMING CARNIVAL

The Lilydale High School Swimming Carnival is being held on Friday 27 February; a compulsory event for all Year 7 students. Please ensure that indemnity forms have been returned for what is always an energetic and fun day at the pool!

YEAR 7 IMMUNISATIONS

Thursday March 12, will also see our first vaccination day. I’d like to remind all parents to please return the vaccination forms as soon as possible.

FINALLY

I trust that your son or daughter are enjoying their first month of secondary education and feeling more comfortable about their schooling.

Please don’t hesitate to call us or your child’s form teacher, with any questions or queries in relation to our program this term.
