MOTOCROSS

Interschool Motocross

On Friday 11 May, Lilydale High School students ventured across to Panmure near Warnambool, for the Interschool Grass Track Competition.  There were several new schools competing this round and the number of competitors was up, as a result to 118.

The weather on the day was very poor, cold windy and constant drizzle however, this only seemed to increase the comradery and team spirit shown by our riders.

Once again, Lilydale High performed exceptionally well on the day.   A special mention should be made of Ethan Pollard, who achieved a first and two seconds in his division and to Taylor Street, she finished second, in all three of the women’s races.

Other members of the team were Lily Garner, Blake Cooper, Campbell Gray, Riley Keogh, Matthew Knox and Beau Pollard.   The boys rode hard, helped build the team score and participated in the relay teams.

At the end of the day, it was great to see smiles and the pride evident in the team, as they lead Lilydale High School to dominance yet again.
