National Christian School Sports

By Steve Kelly (Secondary Sports Coordintator)

Last week, 120 athletes along with 25 coaches and officials from Victorian Christian Schools went to Sydney to compete as CSEN Victoria in the National Christian School Sports. We had 14 students from BHCS attend the event, representing our school and their state in volleyball, basketball, netball, tennis and soccer. Students were selected for teams after attending a number of try-outs and then various training sessions.

As is often the way with our students, they represented our school, and their state, exceptionally well. They competed hard, performed well but not once let this get in the way of building community and relationships with teammates and opposition. The students experienced a lot of success and came home with lots of medals of varying colours. Both Nick Crawley and I were very proud of all of our Victorian team and specifically the students from BHCS. They were wonderful ambassadors for our school both on and off the playing arena, with many moments of fantastic sportsmanship, support and authentically living out our school motto.

Thanks to all of the parents who supported their children to attend and big congratulations to the students who did us all so proud!
