Learning in J05

In J05 we have been learning addition.

We met Andy Addition and he has been helping us to add 2 groups together and find the total.

We have learnt different ways to solve addition which include, drawing addition, using a number line, using our fingers or counters and using the counting on strategy.

We have explored Friends of 10 by using the Rainbow to 10.

All the Preps were lucky enough to visit the Cranbourne Gardens, where we learnt lots about Aboriginal history and culture.  We got to explore the beautiful gardens, make paint using rocks, play some musical instruments and taste Lemon Myrtle tea.

In J05, we loved making paint by using Ochre and water. We then enjoyed painting our faces and rocks around the gardens with the paint.
