Isolation

All the swelling inside me comes up so fast when we have to have isolation.

I feel so puzzled with all that has come.

I just want to burst with curiosity so I can know how it all works!

Why does isolation flow so fast?

I need to know.

My heart thinks before my brain, I can just feel it!

It knows the answer but I don’t.

It astounds me that it always comes from far, far above.

I have come from so, so far which marks good for me.

Isolation stands far, far behind me!

Using similes to write a poem

I am ….

as fast as a scaly fish swimming

as happy as a little pig in mud

as funny as a clown in the audience

still like a stone sculpture

but clean like hand sanitiser.

I am ….

as beautiful as a butterfly

as fast as a cheetah with roller skates on

as kind as a bear who has just got its honey

as smart as a very, very wise owl

as cute as a baby penguin.

I am ....

as sunny as a sunflower

as caring as a mother bird

as thoughtful as a kind Grandma

as gentle as an afternoon breeze

determined like a hungry animal

quiet like a set of stars.
