Principal's Message

Green Team's new garden

Dear Parents and Carers,

I am sure many of you welcomed this week's news of the return to school for prep-two on Tuesday 26 May and grades three to six on Tuesday 9 June.  For many families this will present a range of challenges with siblings crossing the remote learning and on-site models.  We are currently working on protocols and practices to make this transition as safe and clear for children and families as possible heading into this new model.  Considerations  include safe drop off and pick up of children, staggered break times, hygiene practices and likely worries after such a long period with family.  We will communicate with families as soon as this advice is finalised.

In the meantime and as remote learning continues for our students, I am  heartened by the resilience  shown by our community.  I am thankful for the messages of support and gratitude from our families who are doing their best to support their childrens' learning in often trying circumstances, for the commitment and care from our teachers who have adapted to an entirely new way of teaching and for the capacity of our students to continue learning in such a different environment.  This newsletter is evidence of the enthusiasm and effort from you all and I hope you enjoy.

PREP 2021

Enrolment forms for prep 2021 siblings are now due.  If you have not submitted a form for your child for prep 2021, please email me on smith.megan.s@edumail.vic.gov.au.

Take care
