TUFF (Talking and Upskilling the Fellas Forum) Project Launch - Blokes of BCS
Last week Yr 7 to 11 boys were introduced to the new blokes mentorship program being run at Boorowa Central School.
The TUFF project involves all male secondary staff in the school mentoring the boys. We are lucky at our school as we have some great male teachers who are positive role models and have years of life experiences. Mentors will meet with their mentoree 2-3 times a term for 15-20 minutes. This will occur during their free time either in class time or RAGE.
The end goal of this program is to up skill the boys in expressing what's happening in their lives by having conversations with meaning and also providing a point of reference they can turn to when things are not great.
I believe that this cohort have HUGE potential to be great blokes and also great contributors to society if they received continued direction and guidance.
