Student Wellbeing Report

Many parents have enquired about different sources of support available for their daughters. In the next week we will add a “Mental Health” section to the portal - for both parents and students. This section will include a number of resources that students and parents can access if needed. An email will be sent to parents when it is ready to be accessed.
In the meantime, all students next week will register with eheadspace during homeroom. We hope that this may remove a barrier that young people may have when feeling they need some extra support. eheadspace provides free, online and telephone support and counselling to young people, aged 12 - 25, and their families and friends. If you’re going through a tough time, eheadspace can help. You can talk one-on-one with an eheadspace clinician via an online chat, email or over the phone. You can also join group chats which cover a variety of helpful topics and are a great way to learn from other people’s experiences.
They also have an information library. This is a good place to start, where you can find tips and resources on a range of topics and issues. Young people can access eheadspace:
- If they are feeling down;
- If they are feeling stressed;
- If they are being bullied;
- If they have concerns about drugs and alcohol;
- Getting along with family and friends;
- Romantic relationships;
- Getting advice about helping a friend; or
- Anything else.
Of course, the Heads of House, myself and all teachers at PCW are here to support the girls and parents in whatever way we can. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any concerns.
