Rail Careers are not all about Train Drivers

There are lots of employment opportunities in the rail industry, and they’re not all about driving trains. If you have children that are considering a pathway to engineering, infrastructure, IT, maintenance, operations, etc., why not encourage them to look for opportunities in Rail Careers?

Careers Expo

See attached information re the Warrnambool Careers Expo 2019. This has been a very successful program over many years and proves to be very important for students in Years 9, 10, 11 and 12.

The program of about 100 different career options is run over 3 nights at the 3 large schools in Warrnambool (each night offers different careers). All students and parents are invited to attend. The program is based around student / parents learning about what is really involved in a particular career, pathways available and an outline of the main duties and tasks.  It is delivered by young and enthusiastic practitioners of their career field and they also discuss the pros and cons to the job.

Note:  Final night at Emmanuel College – We are conducting a Special Trades Expo:  Including a wide range of employers in a wide range of Trades.  This is in the main hall and will be conducted in a supermarket type format.  ie just turn up and have a chat.  Many large employers will be present and many are looking for prospective employees.  Don’t miss out - See list.
