A Word from Tanya

Dear Families,

The Junior Production was an absolute hit with everyone and thank you to the many families who provided such positive feedback- it was greatly appreciated!

The kids loved it, families laughed and had proud hearts and the staff just were blown away with the confidence and skills all the children gained through this process. You are all superstars!

I am so pleased we have separated productions into Junior and Senior. This really allows the younger children to gain immense confidence and an experience that would not come their way in a whole school production. The fact that Anne can write these to reflect our school and to encompass the talents in the students we have is testament to her wonderful capabilities in this role.

Life around the school has continued to be busy with excursions, incursions and many learning tasks to complete.

I have been really impressed reading the biographies of the 3/4’s and the memoirs of the 5/6’s - all really skilled writing pieces. Reading the Star ( what you have done well) and the Step ( where you can improve) that the staff have written on all pieces really provide the feedback that gives impetus to growth for each student.

Congratulations Daniel!

Daniel and Lori welcomed a divine ‘Lavinia Rose’ into the world last week. They are all well and Daniel is besotted ( as we all knew he would be). We wish them every happiness on their new family journey.

Nana Again!

Rob and I too received an early surprise of an amazing grand daughter ‘Daphne Sunday Cooke’. She is simply superb and of course we are over the moon! Life is so full of exciting times- all to be treasured!

Illness!

It has also been a term for much illness for all- students, staff and families. We have never had so many staff sick and also repeats doses of cold and coughs. It will be great to get into spring weather and shake these off completely.

Our Gratitude to our Support Staff!

This week, on Monday, teaching staff showed their gratitude towards the Student Support Staff with a morning tea. I wrote a personal note to each person thanking them for their contributions to our school. They are a much treasured part of our team.

THANK YOU KATE!

I want to say the BIGGEST THANK YOU to Kate, she has been amazing and an absolute GEM for me and all staff! We can’t thank you enough for the support you have given the team and the laughs-we have loved it!

As always the staff are simply wonderful and I wish them safe travels as they explore many exciting places on their holidays!

Term 4!

If we thought this term was busy we have a treat in store next term!

All levels will be involved in their camping experience, excursions, special events, transition to school and secondary school activities, our whole school review, Family Festival and so much more!

We need to make the most of the break to routine that the two weeks of the vacation bring.

I hope everyone enjoys a safe and happy break and we look forward to seeing your smiling faces on Monday October 7th.

School dismisses at 2.30 pm this Friday and OSHC will run from then to 6.30 pm.

Assembly will be at 9.00 am and 5/6C will be presenting. all families are welcome.

There will be no assembly first week back and I will send the presentation schedule in the first newsletter next term.

Have fun

Tanya
