House Athletics Carnival

On Friday 13th March we held our annual House Athletics Carnival at the Llanberris Athletics Track in Ballarat. Despite the weather testing us with a bit of rain to start the day, the sun shone through and it turned out to be a fantastic day for competitors and supporters. It was great to see so many students dress up in their House colours and costumes to add to the spirit and excitement of the day. A big congratulation to all of our students for their participation in events and displaying some great skills and talent.

Kambara and Wandarra competed together, along with Tanaranga and Taltarni. At the end of the day the winning teams were Kambara and Wandarra on 1543 points, defeating Tanaranga and Taltarni on 1202 points.

Our Age Group Champions for the day were;

U13’s Jasmine Poyser and Seth Allen

U14’s Dallas Smart and Samuel Norris

U15’s Hannah Fraser and Timothy Parker

U16’s Sophie Cook and Myles Sandlant

U17’s Tayla Stanaway-Barker and Jack Peacock

U20’s Victoria Homan and Jude Poyser

Well done to all competitors on their efforts.

Four athletes placed as the overall Male and Female Athletes of the Meet. The female winner was Tayla Stanaway-Barker and the three way tie for the males went to Jude Poyser, Jack Peacock and Myles Sandlant.

A huge thank you to our staff, House Captains and students for making the day so successful and also to the family and friends who came along to support us. It is so nice to see so many friendly faces providing support around the track and field.
