Senior Table Tennis

The Senior boys table tennis team ventured out to Diamond Valley College to play interschool sport at district level.

The team came up against some strong opposition, however they prevailed and are now going through to the zone finals.

They were lead by Nicholas Dafopoulis and supported well by Travis Wong, Rishon Sunil, Sobhin Khattar and Dorsey Jin.

The team had a vigorous training session during the week and excitement levels were rising. I could sense they were starting to peak too early so I had to hold them back as I only wanted them to peak on the day of the competition.

All the boys performed brilliantly showing great focus and concentration.

There was even some talk on the bus trip back to school amongst the group that state finals are a real possibility!

Well done boys!

House Athletics Carnival - Wednesday 15th March

The College will conduct its House Athletics Carnival as follows:

House Athletics Carnival
Wednesday 15th March, 2023
Meadowglen International Athletics Stadium
Epping

Consent for whole school events is given on enrolment, so you will not need to action anything on compass.

The athletics track is outdoors, so please ensure your child/children bring sunscreen and other suitable sun protection, such as a hat, preferably in house colours, protective clothing and plenty of fluids for the day.

All students are expected to attend the Carnival and be aware of the following arrangements:

  • Students will report to their Home Group at 9.00am, ready to leave by bus by 9.15am
  • All students are encouraged to wear their House colours to support their House
  • The canteen will operate throughout the day, but best to BYO lunch, snacks and drinks as there were huge waits in the queue last time
  • No body paint to be worn on buses (this is a bus company directive)

At the conclusion of the day, approximately 2.15pm, students will board the buses in their Home Groups and head back to school.

Programs for the day’s events will be available at the College Office closer to the time.

Additional activities such as bocce, fashions on the field and others will be offered on the day alongside traditional athletic events.
