Every single day counts
Preparing for successful assessment in Year 11
It is great to see students working hard leading up to their up-and-coming assessment tasks. There are several in class and research tasks that students will be completing in a variety of subjects. It is important that all Year 11 students continue to take a dedicated and consistent approach towards completing school-based assessment to successfully meet the requirements of the preliminary course. Letters of concern or where applicable warning letters will be sent to students that do not complete the necessary class work, homework or assessments by the due dates. We will continue to support Year 11 through this very important time in their school journey.
Year 7 Connect and Diary Use
There is no one ‘best’ way to study or keep organised. Students often find different methods and times to study to suit themselves. The key is regular study, not cramming before a test, examination or research task. Using a diary is such a useful organisational tool. I have seen some fantastic examples of diary use from our Year 7 students. It is great to visit Connect classes seeing students successfully using their diaries and happily keeping up with homework and study.
Year 7 Camp
Active and Healthy Students
There are several students that are taking up the opportunity of playing sport and games at recess and lunch. Our House leadership team will continue to support our students by lending out equipment at recess and lunch time for students so they can keep active and
busy. Thank you to the coordinators of our House Leadership team for their hard work and for building the leadership capacity in our students. The movement guidelines for children and young people can be seen below.
Our school captain Kuber Thakur and his dad enjoy keeping physically active by riding to and from school. A very healthy habit to foster.
