Please click here to access our school calendar to view all important upcoming dates. St Edward's Parent Calendar can also be accessed via your Compass Portal. From the Compass app you can access the calendar from the calendar symbol at the bottom of the screen. If you are accessing Compass via a browser the calendar symbol is on the top left.
The date for First Confession is Tuesday 28th March at 4.00pm. Parents please check your Parent Compass Portal for the note, payment and consent for your child.
Please keep sending in your donations for the class Project Compassion Box, to support the wonderful work that Caritas Australia does in communities in need.
This week, as a family you might choose to have a prayer time together, attend Mass on the weekend and make an effort to go without a treat and give the money saved to Project Compassion.
When we focus on what we can do for Lent, we do it to remind ourselves that God and God’s way of love is more important than these things.
A reminder to Infants parents to please check your Parent Compass Portal for the 2023 Travel Note and consent for your child/children. Kinder, Year 1 and Year 2 students regularly travel between the Infants and Primary Campus throughout the year. Thank you to the parents who have already given permission.

At this time we have about 60 students across K-6 completing the challenge with their families at home. In addition to this, all other K-2 students will complete this challenge in class in English and Library lessons.
It is not too late to register your child/children for the challenge if you would like to complete it at home, so please complete the online form. Late replies are not a problem as you can start any time but the closing date remains the same. You can also send me a handwritten note or email if that works better.
Usernames and passwords should have been received this week (Infants today).
Any books on the list that your child has read (or you have read to your child for K-2) over the summer holidays can be counted for this year’s challenge. Just note the title and author to be put on the log when you can log in. Preferred books are the titles from the PRC list which can be found HERE.
Along with the statewide reading challenge, the library offers a local challenge where students can collect stickers for the different genre novels they read. These can be read any time (not just in the library) but must be a library book. To earn a sticker for their sticker chart, students need to retell in a couple of sentences about what happened in the story. We have a record number of participants right now, so if you are in Year 3-6, come and sign up and join the fun.
Inspired Learners will start a little later this year after the NAPLAN assessments have been completed. This is a program for our selected top readers to expand their reading, writing and research opportunities. Stay tuned!
