HSIE

Year 7 students have been learning about archaeology in History. Students investigated the processes that archaeologists use by carefully excavating choc-chip cookies using toothpicks and grid formations. Students developed an understanding of the precise nature of archaeology and the patience required. The reward for all the careful excavation was to eat the excavated artifacts (choc-chips) and dirt (cookie crumbs). It has been a great start to the year for Year 7 in history!

Mrs Kimberley Biddle

Year 7 History classes undertook a challenging choc chip cookie archaeological dig where they had to sketch the site (cookie), excavate the site with their archaeological tools (toothpick) and collect and count the artifacts (choc chips). Students had a great time putting into practice their newly learnt archaeological knowledge and skills.
