What's happening at St Joseph's?

If you haven't already seen the amazing new concrete and grass come check it out!

We have been very lucky to have some upgrades to our welcoming spaces in particular where we gather and enjoy our lunch. It was very evident from my visit last year that the concrete was outdated and dangerous underfoot. We are very happy that the Armidale School Office set aside some funding to upgrade our area. I'm sure we would all agree that the new grass gives a cooler feel to the space and a nice change of colour. Our task now is to keep this space neat and clean and the grass green (crosses fingers).

Below are a few of the places where you can find information sent out to our families and community. Mr Mills will be getting use to sharing information across these platforms so please bare with us. At the moment we are favoring the Compass App and Paper copy of notes.

St Josephs Swimming Carnival

Teachers, students and parents all ventured down to the local swimming pool on Wednesday the 15th.

We were very excited to participate in some competitive and novelty events. All students participated well and cheered on their fellow peers.

We thank all who were able to enjoy the day with us down at the pool and look forward to the next one.

Here are some amazing shots taken throughout the day.

RED Reading Program

Dear families,

To encourage a love of reading for leisure and pleasure in students, and promote the wide benefits of regular reading, we are introducing the ‘RED Reading Program.’

On Monday 20 February, your son or daughter will take home a RED reading log. Please encourage reading daily, either as an independent activity or have another person read to them each day Monday to Thursday then record this in the log. Return the log to class on Friday and teachers will record the names of these students to be in the running for assembly awards.

In the coming weeks, our school library will be opening for borrowing, the local library, however, is a great place to start the book borrowing process.

Please reach out if you have any questions.
