Physics Excursion

The year 12 Physics excursion to Luna Park was an exhilarating experience to say the least, with the weather set to be sunny and blue skies, you couldn’t of asked for a more perfect day. After an hour of commuting by train, tram, and foot into St Kilda, we soon found ourselves at the gate of Luna Park. Knowing that the Park was only open for students completing units 3/4 Physics, we were reassured that everyone was in the same position as students and were looking to free our minds from the stresses of school and have a fun day out with our classmates. As a group we all experienced the thrills of what the park had to offer, including the century old Scenic Railway, which was nothing short of amazing. However, the rest of the rides were not far off, such as the Pharaohs Curse, which at times gave us the experience of apparent weightlessness, but of course more importantly, we got to experience our beloved circular motion questions in real life. After running through every ride that we could find, waiting, in at times, agonising queues, and having the time of our lives, it was finally time to call it a day. We were dismissed from the park by our incredible Physics teachers that perfectly planned the day for us. And it’s fair to say we all deserved a relaxing trip back home.
