Program Closed – Monday and Tuesday
The OSHC program will not be running on Monday, November 1st or Tuesday, November 2nd due to the Melbourne Cup Day Public Holiday.
Welcome Margo!
Margo Hagan is the new 2IC of Yarrabah TheirCare. She has been a member of the OSHC team at Yarrabah since September 2020 and is looking forward to helping the program succeed and meeting families in person.
Healthy eating options
This month the team are focussing on healthy eating and including more fruit and vegetables into their snacks and meals. Some of the recipes they have been experimenting with are:
- Tacos with Plant-Based Meat
- Mini Sliders with Cabbage and Carrot
- Hidden Vegetable Pasta
- Vegetable Mini Spring Rolls
- Vegetable Sticks with Assorted Dips
- Heathy Pineapple muffins
After School Care Fun
Donations
Donations are always welcomed. If you have items at home that you no longer require and wish to donate to the OSHC program, it would be greatly appreciated. We are currently seeking a mud kitchen. Pick-up can be arranged if required.
Community Partnerships
We are exploring potential future partnerships with local community organisations and individuals and welcome expressions of interest from individuals interested in running an incursion or school visit. Areas of student interest include: cooking, gardening, music, art and sport.
Summer Holiday Program
Plans are underway for the upcoming school holidays. The program will begin on Monday, January 4th and run for just over three weeks. Booking forms will be sent home via email later in the term and also be available in hard copy. With restrictions easing, excursions and incursions will again be a part of the program.
Term 4 bookings
Places are still available in our after school care program for Term 4. Please contact the provider via yarrabah@theircare.com.au to enrol your child. The service is free for all Yarrabah students to attend and runs from 3pm-6pm during school terms.
