Fred Hollow's Humanity Award
Congratulations to Elizabeth Browne (5/6EP) on her Fred Hollow's Humanity Award for following in Fred's footsteps by showing outstanding care and compassion for others.
Elizabeth displays the values of integrity and kindness. She has made valuable contributions to our Social Justice Team and as a FIRE Carrier for our school. She is a very empathetic and considerate student who reflects on those less fortunate and has the confidence to stand up and speak out for what she thinks is right. These qualities have helped her become a compassionate Year 6 leader. Closely associated with this is her contribution as a FIRE carrier. Elizabeth is proud of her Indigenous heritage and loves to share her culture with teachers and students at school assemblies, Harmony Days and in general school learnings about Indigenous culture.
We are all proud of the special commendation that Elizabeth has received in the Fred Hollows Awards.
New Resource Centre
Our new Resource Centre is now up and running. It is located where the old Multi-purpose Room was. It is now easily accessible for all classes in the middle of the school. Classes use the space each week as well as it being open on Tuesdays at recess for students to enjoy. The kitchen has also been refurbished and will be a wonderful asset for classes and groups of students to use. Thank you to Sue Walmsley for setting up the space so beautifully.
Egg Cartons
If anyone has empty egg cartons that they could bring into school this would be greatly appreciated.
