Learning in M33

Our Year 4 students have mustered their way through the end of term like true superheroes.
M33 have shown dedication, resilience and commitment to their learning and we could not be prouder of the work they have been doing. Year 4 were unable to have their camp, however, we enjoyed celebrating as a cohort with games and a camp challenge. We had epic campouts, gooey marshmallows and very competitive chocolate-eating games!
In Mathematics, students have worked extremely hard remotely whilst exploring fractions, chance, probability and data representation. We are finishing off the term with revision of the four operations using the Pakenham Springs proficiencies.
In Reading, from weeks 7-10, students have explored poetry. They have been learning to identify figurative language, as well as decompose the structure of a variety of poetic forms - Diamante, Haiku, and Free Verse. Students have also been committed to continuing their Reciprocal Reading roles whilst at home, using EPIC books and independent reading books.
In Writing, students have written a wide variety of poems. Some students chose to produce entertaining and very creative read-aloud raps. We have proudly displayed some of the students' Diamante Poems on the Year 4 Writing Display Board. The students are finishing off the term with a ‘My Superhero is Super’ writing project that we are excited to celebrate.
Keep striving to be the best version of yourself M33.
We miss you madly!
