Scientia Building – Construction Update

Project Status

Hansen Yuncken has been engaged for the Construction of the Scientia Building and expected to take custody of the construction site prior to the return of students to onsite learning in Term 4. 

Operational Implications

Please refer to the Site Establishment Plan. The Construction site will span from Fraser Street to the edge of the Coghlan Building. The following amenities will not be accessible for the initial stages of the build: bleacher seating, outdoor basketball courts, Smollett Place artificial grass space, Smollett Place (West) Carpark. Years 7, 8 and 9 who have previously used these spaces during recess and lunch will be relocated to the Bus Bays, Smollett Place (East) Carpark and the area outside the Robson Auditorium. Accessibility parking previously located at the Smollett Place (West) Carpark will be moved to the front of the Robson Auditorium.

Kiss and Ride

Kiss and Ride will be operating in line with arrangements prior to remote learning, with pick up along Edgar Street and queuing along Fraser Street. Please note that the College has been granted an extension of Kiss and Ride along Shortland Avenue, parents and carers are to queue close to the curb to improve traffic flow along Shortland Avenue.
