CONGRATULATIONS OLIVIA

CAGS Vice Captain, Olivia O'Neill is graduating Year 12 with a Certificate II in Allied Health to compliment her VCE in 2019.

Olivia is striving towards a career and Nursing and Rehabilitation and has received an Aspire early entry into the Bachelor of Nursing at LaTrobe for 2020. October is an exciting, but also daunting time for our Year 12 students with their final exams just around the corner.

Early conditional entry is a credit to Olivia, and takes a little heat off as she starts her exams. Olivia’s previous experience at Amaroo Aged Care in Berrigan certainly started the wheels turning for an exciting career in health. Undertaking an allied health certificate at Cobram District Health has been a great way for Olivia to explore a variety of careers in health so she can make an educated decision about her future.

The commitment to this course and the placement at Cobram District Health is a credit to Olivia. Olivia said that this program has certainly helped her develop patient care and as a result has given her confidence in her abilities to follow her career dreams.

The course coordinator Di Millsteed commended all the graduating students for their persistence, resilience and commitment to their placement and the high standard of course work they submitted at the graduation ceremony.

Well done Olivia, we are very proud of you, we wish you and your classmates all well for the rest of your VCE exams!

The ceremony was attended by a number of local politicians including Federal Member for Nicholls Damian Drum MP and many other figures from other local groups assisting with the project.

As chief organiser extraordinaire behind the project, Mr Rob Morey said he was "ecstatic to see the town another step closer towards the twin-cinema build."

Rob said "It was great to see our local youth represented with both Cobram Secondary College and Cobram Anglican Grammar School who have been avid supporters of the project from day 1."
