From the Principal's Desk

Ash Wednesday

Today, Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the Church’s season of Lent. Lent is a period of six weeks of reflection and preparation for Easter. At Mass this morning, we were all blessed on our foreheads with a cross showing that we are all part of God’s family and that we strive to live the Gospel values each day.

Student Leaders

Today we presented our Student Leaders with their badges. Student Leaders at St Bernard’s are taking on a  more active and consultative role and provide a valued voice for us. They are involved in meetings each week to help and support our work around learning and our school community.  We look forward to sharing with you, over the year, the work this group is involved in. Congratulations to the following students:

Visible Learning + Certification

This afternoon our Leadership team received our official certification and recognition of our achievement. We are now able to use this on our website and around the school. Once again, I would like to sincerely thank the dedicated staff, leaders and students of our school who have and continue to be evaluators of their own impact.

Letter Drop Helpers - We need You!

Once again this year, we have some cards with our enrolment information that we would like to letter drop around the area.  If you can help by walking, skating, riding or jogging along  a street or two  in the area, please see us on Monday afternoon  to get a street and some cards.   Many hands  make light work and we are very grateful for the support.

'Something to think about'

As we celebrate Ash Wednesday, below is a short clip that explains Lent is a very simple way.

Yours Sincerely
