Victorian Premiers’ Reading Challenge:

All Junior School students from Prep to Year 6 are now entered in this year’s challenge. At this point I would like to acknowledge Maelys Haynes and her Mum for being so keen. Maelys was a successful challenger last year and already has seven books listed! All class teachers now have this year’s lists of usernames and passwords. These are generated each year in the new website so you can’t use last year’s (and I have to add each year level with all students each year!).

Senior Campus students are welcome to join in – it gives you something extra to add to your list of accomplishments when applying for leadership roles and reading is the most impactful activity for improving your reading and writing skills. Please contact me if you are in Years 7-10 and want to join in!

DigiHub event Friday next week (28 May) in the Hub space in Hamilton:

This event ran in 2019 and was very interesting. We will be well represented again, and some of our students Prep to Year 11 will be demonstrating what we do at College that is digital and special. See the advertisement here

Your Library service fosters access to and training related to resources and productive tools. Our College is well represented in Australian digital education spaces. Look forward to seeing lots of you walking up and saying hello!

One the weekend there are some special interactive events being offered via the Greater Hamilton Esports cup. Read more and see if one or more of your children might like to join in by clicking here.

School Library Association of Victoria:

Next week on Thursday I am presenting our refurbished Library to other school library specialists across a range of states. There will be a brief “tour” as part of the virtual event. A summary will be shared next week.
