Sport 

Congratulations to Zoe Addinsall of Year 8 who continues to have success in her chosen sports. She will be competing in Coffs Harbour this weekend in a Pentathlon event on her way to Brisbane for the 2021 National Triathlete and Laser Run Championships on the 29 and 30 May. We wish her great success and hope she enjoys the experience of high level competition as well as some extra training with national level coaches.

Football

School football kicked off on Tuesday with our First 18 playing in the Herald Sun Division One Country Cup competition at Pedrina Park against the other bigger local schools. 

The boys were undefeated for the day playing superb team football and defeating Monivae College comfortably in the final game. Best players over the three games were Max Green 

(AFL Victoria medal), Jason Hawker, Connor Hunter, Magnus Howells, Toby Vallance, Fergus Roberts and Henry Haynes. Multiple goal kickers for the day were Henry Bensch, Henry Haynes, Magnus Howells, Charley Falla Jones, Jack Austin and Fergus Roberts. The team will now go on to play the winner of the Warrnambool/Corrangamite schools’ region to determine the South Western Victoria champion school for 2021.

The Year 9 and 10 team will play in their annual round robin competition in early June.

ICCES Athletics

The ICCES Athletics Carnival was held today at Albert Park Lakeside stadium in Melbourne. Our athletes have been training hard with coach Rohan Garfoot at training sessions held at lunchtime and I am positive those students attending will reap the awards with their personal best performances. A full report will appear in a future newsletter edition.
