Congratulations to the cast of Charlie and The Chocolate Factory for the preparation they put into auditions, for being successful in being cast in this wonderful production and for their attention to detail in our first rehearsals this week.

Jazz in the Beer Garden

The James Morrison Academy Graduate Ensemble will perform and present a workshop in the beer garden at the Commercial Hotel Hamilton, Sunday June 13th.  This is a great opportunity for interested jazz players and improvisors to take their instrument along and workshop with these great young guns of the jazz world. A beer garden in June could be a little chilly, but the jazz is sure to be hot….…and cool!

The annual Orchestra Victoria mOVe! program returns to the College during the mid-year break.  The Kantor Family Music and Performing Arts Centre will provide a ‘home base’ for the festival, hosting student workshops and teacher professional development and the mOVe! Showcase concert on Thursday night, July 8th.  Application for enrolment in the program that runs during the last week of the mid-term break July 6-8 should apply online via the following link and if unsure speak with your instrumental teacher and Mr Hiscock. On the mOVe!
