Stratton Road - Blessing of the Land Ceremony

Setting Foot On New Ground – One Community, Two Campuses

Blessing of The Land & Commencement of Early Works

Our exciting plans to expand to a two-campus school have moved a step closer to reality with Stage 1 of the project given the green light by Catholic Capital Grants to go to tender, and for early earthworks to commence in the coming weeks.

The announcement was officially made yesterday as part of a symbolic Blessing of the Land ceremony at the future site for our junior campus, to welcome the next phase of education for our College community.

The ceremony at 66 Stratton Rd included a Welcome to Country, smoking ceremony and the presentation and blessing of several Oak Tree seedlings grown from acorns at our existing Dickson Street campus.

Those attending included representatives of the Kildare Ministries Trustees, Kildare Education Ministries Board, Catholic Education Sandhurst, Echuca Community Brigidine Sisters, Yorta Yorta First Nations, Bishop Shane Mackinlay (Catholic Diocese Sandhurst), Bishop Columba Macbeth-Green (Catholic Diocese of Wilcannia Forbes), and our Principal, Student Leaders and Leadership Team.

Full details of the event and accompanying announcements are available at our website.
