News from MLC

There have been many people who have shaped the global world, explorers who have greatly impacted our lives and are significant people of history. Our current Inquiry topic in Term 2 is ‘Change.’ Students have been discovering how explorers have changed our world. 

Last week, the students in MLC were able to take on the role of an explorer. They were given a series of clues to help them find definitions that were spread around the playground. They needed to use their skills of exploration and discovery to locate all the definitions. Students worked in pairs to be the first to find definitions to a list of words that we will be looking at throughout the unit.

As we begin to learn more about how our world has changed over time, the students will also get the opportunity to research an explorer of their choice. They will learn about what made that explorer famous and about the journey they have taken.
