French News

Chères familles,

Les classes de Français sont fantastiques !

This week, in French Literacy we have been learning le son “u” (the sound/u/) and children know how to write “u” and start to read words like: “tu” (you), “tortue” (turtle), “une” (a) and “tutu”.

In maths, we started a unit called “les nombres ordinaux” (ordinal numbers) and learned to say: “premier” (first), “deuxième” (second), “troisième” (third)…. For that, we did an activity with “les enveloppes” and students had to use ordinality to find a hidden picture in one envelope. They could then estimate an envelope number without recounting

In Inquiry, we read the book “le Didgeridoo” by “Frédéric Marais” and we discussed National Sorry Day and National Reconciliation Week.
