Education in Faith

ECSI Survey

An enormous thanks to all of our wonderful St. James families who took the time to complete our ECSI surveys!  We know that this is a time consuming and sometimes tedious survey to complete, but the data collected will assist us in making future plans for our community in the Education in Faith sphere in our upcoming review.

Mrs. Cathy Dimitrakopoulos

Thank you for supporting St Vincent de Paul!

Hi St James students and parents, thank you so much for all of your donations of food that got handed in. Ross Hancock from The St Vincent De Paul foundation was very grateful and they sent his thanks to all the children and families at St James. Everything that went into the tubs in our classrooms will be made into hampers and given to those in our community needing support. They would be very happy because you helped them a lot.

Thank you again

From the Social Justice captains Mitchell and Ruby

      Year 4 Religion Taking Action!

This term in Year 4 we have been learning all about our connection to our Parish and how we can contribute to the community. We have learnt about how people have helped the Catholic Church to grow, such as Mary MacKillop. To take action, we will be raising money for our Parish so that we can help people in our community. To do this we will be running a ‘Guess How Many Lollies In The Jar’ initiative this week. Each day at snack time we will be sitting outside the Community Centre ready to collect money and record guesses. Each guess will cost 50c. We will announce the name of the winner (the person who guesses closest to the number) on Friday afternoon at our Assembly. We can’t wait to see you!

*please note that Covid practises were followed when preparing the lolly jar
