“More than 75 per cent of mental health issues develop before a person turns 25”
Headspace is the National Youth Mental Health Foundation providing early intervention mental health services to 12-25 year old's . Headspace can help young people with mental health, physical health (including sexual health) alcohol and other drug services, and work and study support.
Daniel S in 4A is raising awareness for mental health and headspace by participating in The Push-Up Challenge.
Hi Mr Farmer, Mrs Duffy & BNPS,
From 1 to 25 of June I'm taking part in The Push-Up Challenge 2021 with the aim of doing 3,318 push-ups over 25 days. This number represents 3,318 Australians who died by suicide in 2019. My Dad and I are doing this challenge to raise awareness and funds for mental health in Australia.
It is my 2nd year of doing this challenge - last year I’ve managed to do 1,221 push-ups and raised $645 for this cause. My team is called Chewie’s Angels and besides pushing for the cause, we are also having fun and getting fit.
It would mean a lot to me if BNPS could help me in reaching my fundraising goal through my page:
https://www.thepushupchallenge.com.au/pushuperer/85169
The funds that are raised through my page will go directly to Headspace Youth Foundation and will help Australia #pushforbetter mental health.
Thanks again. Really appreciate your help.
Kind regards,
Daniel Shlimak
