Myrniong - ELC to Yr6

End of a Busy Semester One

Semester One has flown by in what appears to be a heartbeat.  Whilst punctuated with two small windows of Remote Learning, it has been lovely to be back this year with some semblance of normality.  We have sat NAPLAN tests for Years Three and Five, and REACH testing for Years Two to Six.  We also competed in the BEBRAS computational thinking challenge.  Young House presented their House Service and Year Three and Year One presented class Assemblies.  Our Year Six leaders have been fabulous role-models and have led the Junior School well in the first two terms.  Netball, hockey and basketball competitions commenced.  Laidlaw House triumphed in the Junior School Swimming, Athletics and Cross Country.  Learmonth House leads our House Values Cup at the half-way point of the year and our Year Five and Year Six students spent three days camping in the Grampians National Park.

I wish all Early Learning Centre and Junior School families a well-earned winter break.  Looking forward to seeing you all on Tuesday 13th July for the commencement of Term Three.

Semester One Reports

Junior School Semester One reports will be released via PAM on Friday afternoon.  A courtesy hard copy will come home with Junior School students on Friday.  The Year Three to Six report envelopes will also contain a student self-assessment.  Due to lockdown and a shift in examinations, the Senior Campus will release their reports in the first week of Term Three.  Parents are encouraged to read their reports with their children and discuss their learning journey.

VIBE Day

The annual VIBE Day has been postponed until Week 2 of next term.  It will now take place on Wednesday 21st July.  Myrniong will welcome visiting students in Prep to Year 5 classes. Our Year 6 students will head to myPEC at the Senior School for an entertaining day of activities.  VIBE showcases the College to prospective families.  We look forward to a great day.
