Year 10 Advanced Patisserie Class

This week the students in the Yr 10 Advanced Patisserie class rose to the challenge of their design brief! Working in teams, they had 1 hour to create a dessert, within the following guidelines. Each team was given a mystery box of ingredients, all teams could access basic stores ingredients and working collaboratively they were required to include a chocolate balloon and a piped chocolate component in their finished product. It was fantastic to see their teamwork, discussion of presentation ideas, time management and enthusiasm! They were given a reminder of remaining time, leading to an urgency for all to contribute to presenting a quality product within the time frame. A fine effort from all participants was assessed by our guest judges Katrina Benoiton and Rebecca Arnold. Many thanks to them for their expertise, positive feedback to the students and willingness to be involved. All teams produced work of a high standard, with each presentation having a special component. Well done everyone!!!
