In the garden, we have been busy planting more winter greens and broccoli. The garden is looking great with lots of silverbeet and celery ready for our soup recipes. Students are continuing to learn about what grows well in each season and the maintenance jobs for optimum plant growth. 

 

To link with our health topic of healthy eating, we are continuing to learn about the healthy food plate portion. Students developed their understanding of the importance of eating the recommended serves of carbohydrates and vegetables. This week we made wholemeal bread rolls to serve with lentil and vegetable soup.
