XANADU

School Production Captains' Report

We have had a huge few weeks in the world of Xanadu!  After finishing Act 1, we started on the final act of the show with a new song.

Our show is really coming together super quickly and we cannot wait to share the excitement with you! Tickets are now ON SALE from the school website homepage.

Due to the current lockdown we’re in, we are unable to have our first weekend rehearsal, but this gives us time to practice our skills ready to jump straight back in, when we are all back at school.

Before you know it, it’ll be SHOW WEEK and we’ll all be having the best time showing everyone how talented our school is.

Production Team Update

As always it’s been a busy time in the world of ‘Xanadu’!  We’ve been rehearsing every Monday and Thursday afternoons and we’ve finished our work on Act 1!

We were excited to start our first weekend rehearsal, but unfortunately lockdown has put a stop to that.  As Sonny Malone would say – “MEGA BUMMER!”.

But there’s still lots to celebrate, the scenes are really coming together, from energy driven numbers like ‘All Over The World’ to sombre moments such as ‘Don’t Walk Away’, the show is really shaping up.

We’re also in the process of inviting our 2020 senior students back for some cameos. While not every former student has the availability to commit to a school show, we love that we have a community that values each other and provides those opportunities.

We also have some understudy actors who will be performing on our Saturday matinee show, so we’re excited to see how Tobi and Ayla are stepping into their roles and fitting the scenes perfectly.

We encourage students and parents to keep an eye out on the Xanadu website, classroom page and emails to keep up to date with any schedule changes. due to the current COVID restrictions in place.

TICKETS for the performances can NOW be purchased from the school website homepage or below;
